Spin (Ford Mobility) Launches S-100T Custom E-Scooter Designed by Bould Design

Spin, a micro-mobility subsidiary of Ford, has launched a scooter custom-designed for the sharing market. Spin partnered with Bould Design to develop the S-100T electric scooter from the ground up. Every element was considered to optimize the rider experience, operational efficiency, and longevity of the vehicle.

Scooter sharing has become a major part of the urban transportation landscape in cities all over the world. Like many scooter-share start-ups, Spin initially leveraged consumer-grade scooters to scale and build out their fleet, but soon realized that in order to meet necessary performance, safety, and operational requirements, they would need to develop their own ride.

Spin approached Bould Design with a vision to create a radically simple, yet rugged, scooter tailored specifically to their business model. Bould Design applied their unwavering dedication to function and deep design for manufacturing knowledge to produce a scooter that meets the rigors of sharing and city riding. The S-100T is fun and easy to ride, extremely durable while projecting a quirky, iconic character that is uniquely Spin. The S-100T will begin deploying in Sacramento, California, with more cities soon to follow.
