SPAN Raises $90 Million in Series B Funding Round to Accelerate Next Generation Electrification

SPAN, the company that reinvented the home electrical panel, has closed a $90M series B funding round. Founded by ex-Tesla executive, Arch Rao, Span is simplifying the adoption of solar power, electric vehicle charging and battery storage with sophisticated, easy to use hardware and software solutions. 

The Series B funding round was led by Fifth Wall Climate Tech and Wellington Management. SPAN will use the new funding to continue developing their suite of residential energy products to drive commercial growth and accelerate home electrification.   

Bould Design has supported SPAN as a strategic design partner since their founding in 2018. In addition to the SPAN Panel and SPAN Drive industrial design, the studio also developed SPAN’s iconic, future forward corporate identity. “The SPAN identity and industrial design reflects the studio’s dedication to supporting start-ups solving real problems with measurable societal impact.” commented Design Director Fred Bould.
